On September 23rd, 2022, the European Parliament’s European Commission, Directorate-General for Budget (BUDG), BUDG.R.3 – IT Systems, Tools and Infrastructure launched the DIMOS VI, inviting all market participants to bid on this new framework contract. The DIMOS VI framework contract

DIMOS VI is the European Commission / DG BUGT 700 million Euro contract for IT services for DG BUDG, awarded on April 20th, 2023. Therefore, this new framework contract replaces the previous framework DIMOS IV (source: ted.europa.eu).

Besides, it provides a contractual way for the Directorate-General for Budget (BUDG) to subcontract delivering of services relating to the area of the development and operations of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP,) accounting and financial information technology systems with a focus on SAP technologies.

Who will use DIMOS VI framework contract

DIMOS VI is a framework contract that has as contracting authority the DG BUDG. Nevertheless, many DG and agencies will be using it for hiring IT specialists and IT projects that are connected with the financial sector using SAP technologies and ERP.

During the call for tender, 8 different consortiums submitted their offers and were ranked in 6 cascades, meaning that 2 consortiums were excluded from the winners. The consortium with the lowest cascade (eg. cascade 1), will  have priority to answer the requests within 2 weeks. If they don’t find the right candidate, the request is sent to the following consortium (eg. rank 2).
